Amanda Yael Eisley，Amanda was born in Paris, France where she lived with her family until they moved to Geneva, Switzerland where her father then worked as a pianist for George Balanchine's ballet company, Le Ballet du Grand Theatre de Geneve. They later moved to New York City where her father joined the New York City Ballet and her mother began teaching fine art.
