Alexei Brusilov，Born in 1853, Alexei Brusilov served during the last Pre-WWI Russo-Turkish war. Commander of the Russian 8th Army at the outbreak of WWI, he proved himself to be the most successful of Russian generals. In 1916, he led the Brusilov Offensive, which proved to be Russia's only truly successful offensive during World War I.
