Alfonso Gumucio，He studied filmmaking at the Institut des Hautes Études Cinématographiques (IDHEC) and the University of Vincennes, in Paris. Back in Bolivia he directed a number of film and video documentaries on cultural and social issues. He went in exile after the military coup of 1980, and continued his work in Nicaragua and Mexico.
