奇珀·琼斯，Chipper Jones was born on April 24, 1972 in DeLand, Florida to Larry Sr. and Lynne Jones. He grew up in Pierson, Florida, the "Fern Capital of the World". He was nicknamed Chipper when he was young because he looked like "a chip off the old block". He was the number one overall pick in the 1990 Amature draft by the Atlanta Braves.
