Pierre Restany was born on June 24, 1930 in Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda, Pyrénées-Orientales, France. He was a writer, known for Rituel pour Pierre (1987) and Orlan, carnal art (2001). He was married to Josianne de Koch Restany, Aline Dallier and Jeannine de Goldschmidt-Rothschild. He died on May 29, 2003 in Paris, France.
