Anabella Ricardo was born in Cuba in 1953. She came to the USA in 1967 with her parents and 3 younger brothers. When she arrived in Miami, Florida the only words she knew in English were "Thank you", "You're Welcome", "I don't Speak English" and "I don't know". Confusing the last two got her into some trouble the first few days of school.
