Jay Mackenzie Roach was born in Oklahoma City, where he was raised by loving parents John and Caryn Roach. At the age of nineteen, with no direction in his life, Jay was in a car accident. Being unable to walk for six months meant a lot of movie watching. It was during this time that Jay developed his interest in movies.
