K.S. Haddock was born in Seattle and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. After gaining a bachelor's in Psychology from U.C. Irvine, he moved back to San Francisco to pursue a writing career. He published the Gen-X novel, The Patricidal Bedside Companion, in 1994 through St. Martin's Press.
