Shweta Pandit is the fourth generation of Singers in her family of Renowned Musicians, Classical Vocalists and Film Actors. She belongs to the Mewati Gharana of Music Tradition, which was brought into light by her Grand-Uncle Padma Vibhushan - Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj.
