Jane Fennell became known to a generation of Australian children on the children's television program Mr. Squiggle and Friends (1959) as Miss Jane. She grew up in Sydney, Australia and is the daughter of Australian actor Willie Fennell. She was the long time companion of veteran Australian actor John Ewart.
