Wayne Mitchell was born in Toole, Utah, the third of four sons: Brad, Troy, and his twin Shane. Raised in Alaska he earned his BA in Theatre from UAA. He later went on to earn a Master of Arts in Theatre Communication from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas.
