Michael Van Devere was born in Los Angeles, CA. He is a screenwriter and independent filmmaker. He is known for John Harvard (2007) and Perkins 28: Testimony from the Secret Court Files of 1920 (2008), both films about Harvard history. His recent short films include William Wilson (2011) and Roosevelt's Operative (2014).
