Dawn Bower was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She is the oldest of two siblings: a sister and a brother. She attended Creighton University, where she earned a BS in Education. After serving two years with AmeriCorps*NCCC's Denver Campus. she taught at Denver Academy, a school for kids and teens with Learning Differences.
