Austin C. Kyle was born around 1893, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Kyle of Brooklyn, New York. Kyle, who had at one time been a stock player with one of Holbrook Blinn`s repertory companies, worked for the Metro Film Company where he earned the nicknames "Daredevil Jack" and "Daredevil Austin" for the hazardous roles he would take.
