Theresa Dern was born in Boston, Massachussetts. She has been acting since high school, studying with Children`s Theater Workshop. From there she moved on to community theater with roles in such plays as "Present Laughter" by Noel Coward in the role of Daphne, "Steel Magnolias" as Ouiser, and "Last Roar Gilded Lion" as Julia.
