James Henry Hall was born and raised in the small town of Oxford, Michigan. He moved to Los Angeles at the age of 22 to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He remained there for 5 years until the completion of his first feature brought him back home. He remained in Michigan as he finished up the film.
