Levin Peter was born in Jena, Germany. His first film projects he realized during school time. As part of his A-Level he made a documentary about the national uprising of 17th June 1953 in the GDR. After that, he started to work in different post production companies. In August 2006 he visited the occupied tower block Prestes Maia in Sao Paulo.
