Martin Carthy was born on May 21, 1940 in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England as Martin Dominic Forbes Carthy. He is known for his work on The Other Music (1980), The Waterson Family Live at Hull Truck (2011) and Richard Thompson: Solitary Life (2003). He has been married to Norma Waterson since 1972. They have two children.
