Mark-John Ford，Mark-john was born in the East End of London. His parents then moved to south London where he and his younger sister grew up on the well publicized Thamesmead estate. He took up boxing for the Lion ABC boys club at a young age, located on the Hoxton-Shoreditch borders, a mildly gentrified corner of London's East End.
