Nakia Jewel Williams was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Maryland. At the age of 14 she discovered her passion for filmmaking when she directed & starred in her first short film project for an 8th grade class assignment. Upon completion of high school she relocated to Los Angeles to attend college and pursue her dreams of being a director.
