Shane O'Meara came to prominence playing troubled Scots schoolboy Connor Mulgrew, at odds with his alcoholic mother, in the long running television series 'Waterloo Road' though he was not Scottish and rather too old for school having been born in Ireland on April 26 1992 and having two brothers Allen and Ryan and a sister Sionainn.
