Veronika Downes was born in the quaint, small town of Doksy, in a hilly area of the Czech Republic. For most of her childhood, she helped on weekends and after school at her family's hotel and restaurant located right on the beautiful Macha lake. In high school her physical abilities where present when she played volleyball and basketball.
