James J. Cox was born in Massapequa Park, NY on November 14, 1954. He attended Catholic elementary school and High School on Long Island and then went to college in Upstate NY where he first got a taste for acting with the Schenectady Community Theater. After leaving college, James joined the Navy to see the world.
