德拉罗萨·里维拉，Delarosa Rivera was born in Patterson, New Jersey to Rosa Rivera but grew up in the Bronx, New York City. Being a single parent to Delarosa and a daughter, Jesenia, Rosa was extremely overprotective. Aware of the streets Rosa did all she could to prevent her son from going down the very limited options in the South Bronx.
