Max Sjöstrand was born and raised in Sweden to parents Mari-Louise, an athletic trainer, and Stefan a former Olympic boxer. He began his acting career at age 16 when he directed and acted in his first High School play that got a lot of attention and was later asked to direct the fallowing year.
