Harry Holmes is the son of Richard Holmes III, a retired ARMY soldier (SFC), and Un Hui Holmes, a Korean business owner. He has one older brother, JR Holmes, who is a detective in Law Enforcement in Bloomington, IN. He grew up traveling between the United States and overseas in Daegu, Korea where he graduated from high school.
