Brett Lawrence Farrar was born in Dallas on 20 July, 1990. He graduated from the University of North Texas school of music in August 2013. In a time of uncertainty about the future, Brett auditioned for a short film, Black Name Tag, made by the Texas Christian University Student Filmmakers' Association.
