Tsara Shelton was born in Oshawa, Ontario and is the oldest of eight children. Her mother is the actress, writer, producer, director Lynette Louise. Growing up she and her siblings were invited to perform often, even traveling the United States and Canada on a North American prison tour (1992-1993).
