David R. Liu，Born in 1990 in the Chinese city of Taiyuan, David Liu immigrated with his family to America at age three. He was raised in the San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles, California. After studying political economy at UC Berkeley and working as a journalist, he earned his MFA degree from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2016.
