乔斯·史密特，Jos was born in Coevorden, Drenthe, the Netherlands on July 12, 1961 and baptized as Johannes Franciscus Gerhardus Smit. Jos is the only son (he has one older sister) of Dinie Smit (Bakker), a housewife and cleaning lady, and Geert Smit, a truck driver.
