Gerry Newton was born in Derry, Northern Ireland. He has been a prominent local actor on stage and in film since the mid 80's. Most known for his work with local Derry playwright, Eddie Kerr and had his feature film debut acting alongside actor James Nesbitt in Bloody Sunday (2002).
