Melissa Romeo was born in Upstate New York to parents Lucinda and William Coughlin. She grew up very active involved in circus talents including unicycle riding as well as many sports excelling in tennis. Melissa`s first love of the arts came about when she got the lead in her elementary school play as Amelia in "Amelia Meets the Wright Brothers.
