Maria Theresa Rodriguez was born on 1st November 1981 in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire to an English mother and Colombian father. With her parents not long after becoming separated, she lived with her mother and was raised in the small town of Alcester, Warwickshire. Her father was never far away living close by in Stratford-upon-Avon.
