Stephen Eith was born and raised in Long Island, New York. At age 17, he relocated to Nashville, Tennessee with his mother (Linda) and his three siblings (Christopher, Danielle, and Katlin La Piana) after his father (Joseph LaPiana) received a job opportunity as a computer administrator for NY Bank of Mellon.
