Tope Tedela was born in Lagos, Nigeria. He is the first child of four children of businessman and businesswoman parents. His foray into professional acting begun when he was cast as Julian on Popular TV Drama Edge of Paradise (2006) directed by Greg Odutayo while he was attending University of Lagos, Nigeria.
