Matthew Robert Walker was born on December 14, 1988, in Miami, Arizona. From an early age signs of his future career were apparent. In 2007 and 2008 Matthew left the country to direct two documentaries on language educators in Papua New Guinea and Slovakia. Upon his return to the U.S. he attended Scottsdale Community College.
