William H. Crane，American actor, long on the stage, who made a handful of film appearances. His 54-year career began in 1864 when he left his native Leicester, Massachusetts to join the Holman Opera Company. He progressed through juvenile roles to leading men and into character parts, in such plays as "David Harum," "The Henrietta," and "The Spenders.
