Laura Gillespie was welcomed into the Alberta film community in the spring of 2014 when she joined the Ascension team for the Calgary 48 Hour Film Challenge. Since then she has appeared in Edmonton Story Hive Winner: Zombie #1; local short film anthology: What's Up, Calgary? and several other independent productions.
