Mae Olsen was born to a Puerto Rican mother and a South African/Portuguese father on July 25, 1992 in Providence, Rhode Island. Olsen was raised by her single mother in Miami, Florida. Mae excelled at baseball and academics while growing up. Her first job was working at a movie theater at age fifteen.
