Joe Ritchie was the only child of Bud Ritchie (Joseph Boon)a vaudeville artist born in Liverpool to oil cloth merchant Charles Boon. Was both a stage and TV actor appearing as a leading man on the stage in his early years. He suffered from Parkinson's disease towards the end of his life. He was married and divorced.
