Melinda Deines，Deines was born in Edmonton, Alberta and raised on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where from a very young age, she and her childhood troupe wrote and performed plays at local community events. Deines aggressively pursued her acting passion by moving to Toronto, where she attended and graduated from the Ryerson Theatre School.
