Mónica Huarte was born in México City. She studied theatre at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, an acting degree at the Foro de la Ribera in México City and has taken acting lessons at the Estudio Juan Carlos Corazza in Madrid, Spain and in the Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre in Los Angeles.
