约翰·迈尔，John Myhre was born in 1959. A film buff from an incredibly early age he began watching the TV coverage of the Oscars aged five and received a Super-8 camera for his seventh birthday. After graduating from Nathan Hale High School he studied film at the Bellevue Community College in the 1970s, subsidizing himself by working at a local cinema.
