Enci was born and raised in Hungary, when it was still under Communist rule. Her mother escaped to Germany when she was 5 and left her and her sister in Hungary for 5 years. During that time, they lived with their father, grandparents, adopted teachers, with schoolmates, and often times alone in a studio apartment.
