Gordon Clifford，Songwriter ("I Surrender Dear"), actor and author, educated at Pawtucket High School. He wrote songs for the Rhythm Boys (Bing Crosby, Harry Barris, and Al Rinker). Joining ASCAP in 1932, his chief musical collaborators included Nacio Herb Brown and Harry Barris.
