约瑟夫·卡百瑞，Joe Carberry was born to Irish-American parents at St. Vincent Hospital in New York City's West Village. He spent 10 years training at the Gramercy Boxing Gym on 14th St. Enlisted in the Marines and did a tour in Vietnam (1967-68).
