Vera Chok is a writer, actress, singer, artist and lover of language. Of Chinese descent, Chok was born in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, where she grew up attending the missionary school of Asaunta until moving to the United Kingdom as a teenager and completing her secondary education in Abbots Bromley School in Staffordshire, England.
