Gloria Mari，Gloria Perez was born and raised in Carson, California. Her mother Teruko Perez was Japanese and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Her father Robert Perez, a longshoreman for over 40 years was born in Mazatlan, Mexico and moved to the United States as a child. Robert was in the United States Air force and stationed in Japan, where he met and married Teruko.
