Shiek Mahmud-Bey Was born in Brooklyn, NY. Shortly after the birth of his younger sister the family moved to Jamaica, Queens. Shiek comes from a large extended family and is one of five children. His father was a United States Army Sergeant Major and his mother a cosmetologist.
