Sonny Vallie was born James Archibald Brandon on the 8 July, 1926 in Palm Beach, Florida. He has had several stage names including Billie "Bill" Brandon, Youth Vallie and Sonny Vallie. His mother Bell Brandon was a Vaudeville Comediene, actress and a costume designer - and his father Arthur Brandon appeared in many silent movies.
